The big AI providers have quietly set aside over $400,000 in free API credits for early-stage builders. OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Together, Deepgram, AssemblyAI, Runway, ElevenLabs, and several more all run startup programs that hand out real credits, not trial balances. Most of them do not require VC funding, an accelerator, or a pitch deck. If you are building anything that calls an LLM, a speech model, or a generative API, you are probably eligible for at least three of these right now. Here is the complete 2026 map: 12 programs, exact credit amounts, eligibility rules, and direct application links.

OpenAI for Startups

Credits: Up to $2,500 via VC partner referrals. $50,000 via OpenAI Grove (intensive cohort program). $25,000 via Codex Open Source Fund. $5,000 via Founder Stack
