This is a personal website. I keep things simple and honest about what happens with your data.

What I collect

Visit logs. When you open any page, my server records standard log data: your IP address, browser type, the page you visited, timestamp, and referring URL. This is standard web server logging. I use it to see which posts people read and where traffic comes from. Logs are kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

Page view analytics. I may use third-party analytics tools to see basic page view statistics, such as which posts are most read and which countries visitors come from. These tools collect aggregate information about visits and do not build a personal profile of you.

Newsletter email. If you subscribe via the form on this site, I store your email address only. Nothing else, no name, no IP. I use it to send notifications about new posts. You can unsubscribe by replying to any email with the word STOP.

Direct email. If you email me at [email protected], I keep the conversation as long as needed to reply, then archive it.

What I do not collect

• No names, addresses, or phone numbers
• No payment information (no payments happen on this site)
• No advertising trackers, no remarketing pixels
• No cross-site behavioral profiling
• No advertising cookies

The only cookies this site may set are technical session cookies for the admin panel, which only I can access.

Open-source software

The open-source software I publish runs on your own infrastructure. I have no access to whatever data you put into it. Your data stays on your servers and is yours to manage.

Consulting clients

If you become a consulting client, we communicate via email. No client data is stored on this server beyond the engagement period. Project files and access credentials are deleted within 30 days of project completion unless you ask me to keep them for ongoing support.

Data deletion

Want me to delete your data?

• Newsletter: reply STOP to any email, or email me directly
• Visit logs: automatically deleted after 90 days, no action needed
• Email correspondence: email me and I will delete the thread

For anything else, write to [email protected] and I will handle it within 7 days.

If I change this policy I will update the date at the top of this page.
