November 2024. Need an admin panel. Picked a template on ThemeForest - Vue 3, beautiful, tons of components. $30.

npm install - 5 minutes. npm run dev - 15 minutes. Hot reload - 30 seconds for each change. 47 thousand files in node_modules.

Tried to remove unnecessary components - everything is connected, breaks. Documentation from an old version, examples don't work.

Deleted it. Installed clean Vite + Vue 3.

Build - 2 seconds. Hot reload - instant. Write only what I need.

Spent 2 days fighting someone else's code. Saved $30, lost time. For a one-time landing page - ok. For a year-long project - better from scratch.
