The provider behind that free model is saturated. Your own quota is untouched, and the error names the provider.

Top the balance back above zero. One cent negative from a paid test is enough to stop everything.
Empty answer
Free models reason before they reply, and the reasoning is billed to max_tokens. A small budget is spent thinking, leaving nothing for the answer.
Raise max_tokens. A one-number reply cost between 7 and 390 completion tokens in our test.
